Pediatric nutrition addresses all facets of nutrition for children up to the age of eighteen. This area encompasses a wide range of age groups, from the 0.5 kg premature infant to the 150 kg obese adolescent. This section's main focus is on "the first 1000 days," which is the time from conception until the end of fetal life. In this part, "being a child" and "nutrition" are the main topics. The impact of early nutrition on subsequent health is becoming more widely recognized. In recent years, the significance of "early nutrition" and "long-term consequences" has been apparent. We welcome the submission of works that offer fresh, mechanistic perspectives on the short- and long-term, therapeutic, and preventive roles that diet plays in children. Research on animal models and suitable "in vitro" techniques, as well as pertinent epidemiological data, are also welcomed.
